| Description: | Argents Express Group is a security, safety, and service-driven logistics provider offering all modes of U.S. domestic and international shipping services and customs brokerage. Argents was founded 30 years ago; since that time, we have steadily expanded and now have offices in several key U.S. markets and partners in more than 100 countries.
We are looking for an ambitious individual to join our corporate sales team in our HHH (Hilton Head Island, SC) office. The ideal candidate will have export and import freight forwarding experience. |
| Duties: | Responsibilities include:
• Negotiation with airlines, steamship lines and trucking vendors
• Quoting sales rates to international/overseas clients
• Building tariffs
• Following up on quotations via e-mail or phone
• Accepting bookings
• Monitoring customer service
• Maintaining quick turn around on all overseas clients requests
• Processing 'free-hand' shipments |
| Qualifications: | 1) Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
2) Interest in and comfort with working with other countries and cultures
3) Preferably industry knowledge or experience
4) Experience with Customer Service and understanding of sales
5) Positive attitude / Desire to learn
6) Ability to multitask and time-management skills
7) Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
8) Problem solving skills
9) Ability to perform simple calculations in order to calculate profit and loss or cost vs. sell rates.
Bachelor degree preferred
Secondary languages rewarded
Industry certifications rewarded (i.e. HAZMAT, CCS)
